This Privacy Policy applies to My Dual Code (https://my.dualcode.com), which is operated by Dual Code and serves as an entry point to Marketplace sites, as well as to Marketplace sites powered by Dual Code and operated by third-party organizations.

Definitions

Marketplace refers to the learning platform powered by Dual Code through which courses are offered, accessed, purchased (where applicable), and completed. Marketplace sites are accessed through My Dual Code, which functions as a learning experience platform (LXP) that facilitates access to Marketplace sites and tracks learner participation and completion. My Dual Code does not itself offer, sell, or host course content. Courses are offered, accessed, and completed within Marketplace sites, which may be operated by third-party organizations and made available through a vanity URL or site-specific paths under https://my.dualcode.com.

OCI (Open Collaboration Initiative) refers to the interoperability framework used by Dual Code to support capabilities such as single sign-on and the exchange of learning records between participating systems. OCI is a framework and does not change who is the Data Controller or Data Processor for a given site.

Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies primarily to individuals who access learning content as learners through Marketplace sites powered by Dual Code.

Our role in processing personal information

Dual Code may act as either a Data Controller or a Data Processor depending on the Marketplace through which personal information is processed.

• When individuals create accounts directly on My Dual Code (https://my.dualcode.com), Dual Code acts as the Data Controller and determines the purposes and means of processing personal information.
• When an organization operates its own Marketplace site powered by Dual Code (whether accessed via a vanity URL or a site-specific path under https://my.dualcode.com), that organization acts as the Data Controller. In this context, Dual Code acts strictly as a Data Processor.

Personal information is retained only as long as necessary and is securely deleted or anonymized when no longer required.

Where we store your information

Personal information is primarily stored in Canada, with appropriate safeguards applied where processing occurs outside Canada.
